Caritas Institute of Higher Education (CIHE) CIHE is a not-for-profit, self-financing degree-awarding institution dedicated to providing quality tertiary and higher education through undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Department and Schools highlight: Fundraising Office of Caritas Institute of Higher Education The Fundraising Office is responsible for managing and enhancing the resources, facilities and image of the Caritas Institute of Higher Education. In line with the development direction of the Caritas Institute of Higher Education, the Fundraising Office adheres to the principles of " Love, Learn and Inherit”. It is committed to raising ample funds and exploring resources to support the institute towards Saint Francis University. School of Computing and Information Sciences (SCIS) Established in 1998, the SCIS is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. SCIS hosts the first AI degree programme in the Self-financing Sector & the Digital Entertainment Technology Degree programme. Active in research, the School is the first private institute to establish a “Distributed AI Laboratory” for interdisciplinary research with University Grants Committee (UGC) grant support. Ip Ying To Lee Yu Yee School of Humanities and Languages (SHL) Founded in 2013, the SHL is celebrating its 10th anniversary. SHL offers the first Translation Technology Degree in Hong Kong and launched the world’s first Saint Francis Prize in Techno-Humanities in 2021. The School also established the world’s second Techno-Humanities Research Centre, supported by a grant of HK$3,943,705 from the Research Grants Council (RGC) in 2021 to conduct research on technology and the humanities.
